Open-source software and data that help power UBee.

Last updated: June 2026

UBee uses open-source software and openly licensed creative assets. This page provides the attributions those licenses require, and — for completeness — also credits assets whose licenses (such as CC0) do not strictly require attribution. It covers both the UBee mobile apps and this website.

Avatars (DiceBear)

Profile avatars are generated on-device with DiceBear. The DiceBear software is licensed under the MIT License. Each avatar style is the work of an independent artist under its own license; all avatars rendered in UBee are remixes/adaptations of the original works listed below, generated programmatically from a seed. We gratefully credit every artist.

Styles licensed under CC BY 4.0

The following styles are used under the CC BY 4.0 license, which requires attribution:

These styles are released under CC0 1.0 and require no attribution; we credit their authors voluntarily:

Open-source software

UBee’s applications are built on many open-source libraries, each under its own license (commonly MIT, Apache‑2.0, BSD, or ISC). Principal among them are React Native and Expo (MIT), and Astro (MIT) for this website.

The complete, version-specific list is published here: Open-Source Licenses — every package in the app’s dependency tree, grouped by license, each linked to its repository and full license text.
